When should I hire a doula?
Most families connect with us during their second trimester, but it’s never too early or too late to reach out. Even if you’re already in your third trimester, we may still be able to support you — just get in touch.
Will a doula replace my partner or support person?
Not at all. A doula complements your partner’s support rather than replacing it. Many partners find that having a doula present actually allows them to be more emotionally available because they’re not trying to remember comfort techniques or advocate medically.
Can you attend home births, hospital births, and birth center births?
Yes. Muneera provides support across all birth settings and works collaboratively with your medical team, midwife, or birth center staff.
What if I need a cesarean?
Muneera remains with you through any birth experience, including planned or unplanned cesareans. Her role is to support you physically and emotionally no matter how your birth unfolds.
Do you only serve certain communities or birth types?
Muneera serves families of all backgrounds, family structures, and birth preferences. Her practice is rooted in honoring each family’s unique needs and cultural context.
What if I can't afford a full package?
Please reach out. Muneera firmly believes healthcare is a human right, and she offers flexible arrangements for families navigating financial constraints.
How far do you travel?
Muneera serves the Washington DC metro area, with mobile postpartum services available within 20 miles of DC at no additional travel charge.
